Hm. That’s difficult. I don’t follow most trends with the exception of one or two. And I don’t really have a “signature style.” My wardrobe ranges from dominatrix style spiked leather corsets to silk and chiffon 40s blouses to cheetah print fur pimp coats to modern cut business suits to 60s tribal caftans and 70s groupie platforms. I just kind of blend them all together and see what I get. A lot of times things I might never have thought would look good together actually look pretty groovy… so I’m constantly experimenting. Ask anyone I know, I’ve been known to push some very delicate boundaries.
I decided to give in to temptation and purchase a pair of these groovy psychedelic pants for myself. Now I just need to lose the love handles and it’ll be perfect.

Walked down to my local farmer’s market. Sugar snap peas, strawberries, spinach, fresh goat cheese, croissants, macaroons, a sourdough baguette, and local dry Riesling. It cannot get much better than this.
A bit of poetry -
Of Sirens and Pearly Flakes
Each rock that’s crushed and cut
By her sharp lucite edge
Mother won’t you forgive me
Don’t believe a word I pledge
The sirens they are a calling
Temptress that beckons for
Provides a warm embrace from
The powder white ocean floor
Cracked joints and wooden limbs
The snowy waves do lick
Mother won’t you forgive me
I’m going
down
with
this
ship.
It’s a three master barkentine tall ship that once went by the name of the “Regina Maris.” She was docked in my hometown port for years when I was very young. My parents, along with people from all walks of life all over the country, came together to restore her so she could continue sailing. I spent much of my time on that ship. Her bow was my play area and her crew was my family. It’s a representation of my family, my home on the water, my eternal connection to the sea, and the freedom that comes with “going with the trade winds.” It’s also in memory of her (she was scuttled in the bay later on due to deterioration.)
Is this not really fucking awesome? Definitely wearing this tomorrow.
Fixed up the little black dress I got in a city thrift store with Alison. So happy with it.
